Look at Perl's CPAN code... it doesn't have this problem and has worked perfectly for years.
CPAN != PEAR. If you take a look at the codebase for each, you will see that the basic goals of each are widely divergent.
You might as well tell me to look at the code for the windows installer - it might look like it does the same thing on the surface, but what's underneath the hood is what counts. |
