I've tried upgrading from 1.4.8, and pear downloads the new version... but doesn't install it. In fact, since I upgraded to 1.4.8, I've been unable to install or upgrade any new packages, even with the -f switch. Is there another way to upgrade without starting over on the pear install?
This sucks! If nothing else, you might succeed by grabbing http://pear.chiaraquartet.net/PEAR.phar and running:
php PEAR.phar upgrade PEAR php must be PHP 5.1 or newer for ths to work, but it should work just fine. |
