just wondering about your comment on "pear install --register-only " and a corrupted registry. would this also apply to an out of date registry?
installing packages manually doesn't actually update the version info for installed packages, so if you try to upgrade a package after this you get registry errors. is there any way to scan the installed files and rebuild the registry? Thanks. QUOTE: installing packages manually doesn't actually update the version info for installed packages, so if you try to upgrade a package after this you get registry errors. is there any way to scan the installed files and rebuild the registry? There is no way to scan files, but the purpose of --register-only is to fix this. When PEAR 1.4.7 comes out next week, it will have a working --register-only that you can use. |
